What happens to what you write.
Decide Smaller has no accounts and stores nothing you type. This page explains, plainly, where your text goes.
What you enter
The decision you describe, the options and horizon you choose, and your answers to the three questions.
AI processing
To generate the questions and the recommendation, your text is sent from our server to the Claude API of Anthropic, an AI provider. Anthropic processes it under its own terms and privacy policy (anthropic.com/legal/privacy) and may retain API data for a limited time for safety and abuse prevention. If a topic looks medical, legal, financial-crisis or safety-related, the tool uses a built-in flow instead and sends nothing to the AI provider.
What we store
Nothing. There is no database and no user account. Your text is held in your browser tab while you work and disappears when you close or reset it. Our server does not write what you type to disk or to its logs.
Technical data
Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, time and requested page) for security and operation. Your IP address is also held briefly in memory to limit the number of AI requests per hour. Neither includes what you type.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
Voluntary support
If you choose to support the project, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.

Passwords, personal identifiers, health records or trade secrets. Decision support is not professional advice.
